At Meadow & Moss, we offer full-day sessions only, as much of our learning takes place through outdoor exploration, local walks, community visits and enriching day trips. To support children in building secure relationships and a strong sense of belonging, we ask that children attend a minimum of 3 days per week.
Education Health and Wellbeing
Funded places are eligible for an optional Education, Health & Wellbeing Package contribution of £2 per funded hour. This contribution helps support the rich, meaningful opportunities that make Meadow & Moss unique and go beyond what is covered through Nursery Education Funding.
Through this package, children benefit from educational visits, community experiences, outdoor and woodland learning, nature-based projects, willow work, safe tool use, cooking activities, enhanced resources, and wellbeing-focused experiences that enrich their learning and development.
These opportunities support all seven areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping children develop communication and language, physical confidence, personal and social wellbeing, early literacy and mathematics, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. They also build confidence, curiosity and wellbeing through rich, real-world experiences that extend beyond what government funding alone can provide.
The contribution enables us to sustain our exceptional nature-led curriculum, providing children with inspiring real-life experiences that foster curiosity, resilience, independence and a lifelong love of learning. It helps ensure that the enriching opportunities woven throughout everyday life at Meadow & Moss remain accessible to all children and continue to extend beyond the standard funded early years offer.
